Plot Synopsis

Chef Lynn Crawford quit her job as Executive Chef at the Four Seasons Manhattan to travel North America in search of the best local recipes, as she discovers the secrets of harvesting and cultivating the freshest ingredients. Throughout her journey, she'll take on any challenge: shearing and trimming toenails of sheep in Prescott County, Ontario; confronting her fear of bees to harvest some orange blossom honey for dinner at the oldest organic citrus farm in Crescent City, Florida; exploring what it takes to raise the perfect pig at one of America's top heritage hog farms in Dixie, Georgia; visiting a heritage turkey farm in Tampa, Kansas, where she cooks her hosts a Thanksgiving-style dinner like they've never had before; going knee deep in a wet cranberry bog in Freetown, Massachusetts so she can harvest cranberries for an autumn brunch; foraging the finest specialty mushrooms on cliffs and on the muddy forest floor in Newport, Oregon; and many other locations where the locals show her how it's really done.
