Plot Synopsis

Using archival footage and first-person interviews with historians and journalists, PRESIDENTS AT THE BRINK explores the factors and influences that have led United States Presidents and the nation into armed conflict around the world. Each one-hour episode focuses on a different U.S. President, including: Richard Milhous Nixon, the 37th President of the United States, who agonized over explaining to the American people the logic of extending the Vietnam War; and William Jefferson Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, who faced crises in Somalia, Haiti and the Balkans. Military Channel aired two, back-to-back episodes of this series on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, but had no other episodes on its schedule at that time.
