Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Max Silvestri, each one-hour episode of PRESSURE COOKER takes place in a different American city, as three new teams compete against each other in a culinary challenge while vying for the cash prize. Each two-person team is comprised of a professional chef and a home cook with little or no culinary expertise, and they are given limited time (3 hours), a small budget, a map, and a smart phone (with no internet). The teams must source their ingredients from local suppliers, bring their food back to the Pressure Cooker Pop-Up Kitchen, and create a world-class meal for the panel of judges. In the series premiere, the three teams compete to see who can make the best farm-to-table dish, after finding only locally raised or grown seasonal foods in Burlington, VT.
