Plot Synopsis

THE PRICE OF DUTY is a one-hour docuseries that follows dedicated detectives from across the country as they recount their stories of complex cases that have emotionally impacted and changed their lives forever. Each 60-minute episode explores the emotional rollercoaster of how investigators sacrificed their personal lives to solve these seemingly impossible cases. They shed their stoic exteriors to expose their vulnerability and reveal the personal struggles they endured while working tirelessly to solve these unthinkable crimes. With first-hand narrative of the detectives, along with their families, the victim's families and other law enforcement involved, the show reveals the impact these horrific crimes had on everyone involved. The remarkable stories demonstrate how the detectives put everything on the line to help grieving families find justice while becoming ingrained in their lives forever. Oxygen originally scheduled THE PRICE OF DUTY to debut on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 6pm ET/PT, but moved the premiere to Monday, June 11 at 9pm. The series opener focuses on Det. Daron Wyatt. When a young woman is mysteriously murdered, Det. Wyatt must use behavioral science, overlooked evidence and a chilling interrogation tape to solve the case and bring closure to her family, and himself. Subsequent episodes highlight the stories of these detectives and investigators: Jerry Clark, John Garcia, Dimitry Ruvin, Terry King, and more.
On Monday, July 30, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT, Oxygen presents "Danny Agan," the season finale of THE PRICE OF DUTY. A serial rapist terrorizes Atlanta for more than a decade; survivors help Detective Danny Agan who relentlessly pursues the attacker for 20 years; Agan's very own son joins the force and takes over the case.
