Plot Synopsis

WHAT WOULD YOU DO? uses hidden cameras and actors to see how people react when put in provocative situations. The program takes real-life situations, some of them straight from the headlines, and records the everyday dilemmas that test character and values. Will people be compelled to act or just mind their own business? ABC debuted a new season of this series on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, with an episode that features these scenarios: a rude street musician who makes his living insulting people; a clearly intoxicated couple and their young child are sitting at a marina bar, drinking and carrying on, when they head back to their boat; a transgender girl trying on dresses to wear to her prom; and a woman in a wedding dress who runs into a bar, sits down at a stool and orders some hard liquor, while explaining she is having cold feet. On Friday, May 29, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT, ABC premiered a new season of WHAT WOULD YOU DO? The season opener features these scenarios: Online Predator; Race Appropriate Toys; Inappropriate Mom; Invasion of Privacy; and Bowling Shoe Swap. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? returned for a new season on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on ABC.

Season 13 of WHAT WOULD YOU DO? premiered on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on ABC, with John Quinones returning for another season. The season opener features these situations:

- A Muslim teen is bullied by two white peers, telling him that their parents don't want them to associate with him anymore because he is Muslim. Will anyone speak up for the Muslim teen?

- A young, slender man is introducing his plus-size girlfriend to his parents for the first time. He is head-over-heels in love with her and thinks she's beautiful, but his parents openly disagree. How will the passersby react? Supermodel Ashley Graham guest stars, providing her unique perspective on the subject matter.

- Two young women are sitting in a cafe when they are approached by an older male photographer who invites them to his studio. The girls consider this potential modeling opportunity, but will anyone step in and suggest that they not trust this man?

- A bartender's overprotective boyfriend sits at the bar during her shift, keeping an eye on how she interacts with customers. When he thinks that she is being too friendly or flirty, he calls her out in front of others. Will any of the patrons defend the bartender?

- A parent is being critical of every small mistake her child makes, yelling at and punishing the child for these minor offenses. Will any of the other diners say something?
