Plot Synopsis
PROJECT MC2 is a scripted series that follows four brilliant tween girls who are really secret agents using science, technology -- and sometimes even Instagram -- to catch the bad guys. Although she's a young writer and hipster, McKeyla McAlister is also one of the top agents at NOV8 (Innovate), a top secret organization of the smartest women in the world, headed by The Quail, who sends her agents on missions. When McKeyla brings home three of her Maywood Glen Academy classmates -- culinary chemist Adrienne Attoms, computer savant Bryden Bandweth, and creative genius Camryn Coyle -- and they experience her secret lab, The Quail sees the girls' potential and recruits them as agents. Together, these four young agents use teamwork, along with their science, engineering and math skills, to complete each mission, including to help save a prince's space launch. On Friday, August 7, 2015 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released all three episodes. Netflix released Season 2 of PROJECT MC2 on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. After saving the world from Black Star, NOV8 has given teenaged secret agent McKeyla McAlister her most difficult assignment yet: blending in as an average high school student. It won't be easy for McKeyla to turn off spy-mode, especially since criminal mastermind, Carson Lazarus, has moved to town. McKeyla's friends Adrienne, Bryden and Camryn are eager to assist, but their task is compromised when all social media and technology devices are hacked by super-hacker Retro. As Retro brings mayhem to Maywood Glen, the girls must solve riddles and connect clues to decipher who Retro is, and why he is attacking Maywood Glen, before the city is wiped out. Season 3 of PROJECT MC2 premiered on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT on Netflix. While solving her last case, McKeyla discovered her sister was working with the criminal power group, HAVOC. Or, at least, that's what her friends think, but she is determined to clear her sister's name. Meanwhile, McKeyla and her spy friends, Adrienne, Bryden, Camryn and Ember, have been tasked with discovering who is behind a series of 3T thefts. When the robberies link to Bryden's favorite boy band and McKeyla's sister, the girls find themselves in over their heads. Literally. The five-episode fifth season of PROJECT MC2 premiered on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire season, during which the girls get to work on a new case when they uncover a scheme to steal a nanotechnology prototype from Space Inc. In the season opener, "If You Fail on Mars Can Anyone Hear You Scream," the girls try stop an intruder from stealing a prototype from Space Inc. When things go awry, McKeyla begins to doubt her sleuthing skills. Then, in the second episode, McKeyla, Bryden and Adrienne discover a dark side to the nanotechnology prototype; meanwhile, Cam and Ember make a brainy new friend at Destination Mars Camp.
