Plot Synopsis

In each episode, twin brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott help a couple buy down-and-out fixer-upper and then transform it into their dream home. To help the couple visualize their vision, these brothers use state-of-the-art CGI to convince hesitant home buyers to take a radical risk. Can the Scotts beat the clock as they search for a property that meets the couple's budget, must-have list and tolerance for renovation projects? HGTV aired the U.S. series premiere of PROPERTY BROTHERS on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 9:30pm ET. When airing this series in the United States, HGTV dramatically changed the episode numbers, causing much confusion. For instance, on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, HGTV debuted what it called a Season 5 premiere, showing an episode that had previously aired in Canada during what the W Network called the show's third season. PROPERTY BROTHERS returned for its sixth season on HGTV on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, as Drew and Jonathan helped brothers Chris and Mike find a new fixer-upper after years of sharing a tiny pool house in their parents' backyard. HGTV aired the seventh season premiere of PROPERTY BROTHERS on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT, immediately following an all-day marathon (1-9pm ET/PT) of encore episodes. In the Season 7 opener, "A Suburban Home All On Their Own," Soon-to-be-weds Belinda and Tiago are determined to move out of their respective parents' homes. And the sooner they find a suburban dream property of their own, the sooner they'll be able to start their lives together -- in private. When they finally accept that move-in ready luxury is out of their reach, Jonathan and Drew convince them that a fixer-upper is the way to go. The couple agrees, but only if their families can actively participate in the reno. Drew eventually leads Belinda and Tiago to a tough decision, and then has serious misgivings about their lowball strategy. Later, Jonathan uncovers a costly issue with the sub-floor. And while a family effort gives a big boost to the budget, Jonathan gets more input than he bargained for. After a six-week break, PROPERTY BROTHERS returned with new episodes on HGTV on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT. In the fall premiere, new parents Diana and John want a spacious suburban home, but instead are living with the in-laws. The couple is eager get out on their own, so the pressure is on for Jonathan and Drew to tackle their client's long wish list and finish the ambitious renovation project on time and on budget. On Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT, HGTV premiered the ninth season of PROPERTY BROTHERS. In the season opener, "Ready to Spend It All on a Perfect Home," Michelle and Tom are paying a fortune for a temporary rental and need to find their forever home fast. But their taste for luxury means their dream property is way out of reach and their house hunt could take a while. That's when the Property Brothers step in with a real estate intervention. Michelle is already on board with transforming a fixer upper, but Tom proves harder to convince. Drew leads the search for a property with great bones and the resulting negotiations are tempered by a touching gesture from Michelle. Later, Jonathan uncovers a major issue and has to dig deep to rescue Tom's deluxe mancave. And though Jonathan tries to get the runaway budget back on track, the couple isn't willing to budge on their luxurious upgrade. After a five-month break, PROPERTY BROTHERS returned with new episodes on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on HGTV, immediately following a nine-hour marathon (Noon-9pm) of encore episodes. In the fall premiere, "Dream City, Dream Job, Dream Home," after years of living out of a suitcase, it's time for globetrotting Aussies Levi and Alysha to put down roots. And since they've already landed dream jobs in their dream city, the only thing left on their list is a dream home. With the couple more focused on lifestyle than size, Drew leads the hunt for a dog friendly home in a trendy urban neighborhood where compromise is key. Later, Jonathan comes up with an optical illusion to compensate for saggy walls in the kitchen, and the vintage charm of a century home reveals its dark side with a shocking surprise that threatens to bust the budget wide open. On Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT, HGTV premiered the eleventh season of PROPERTY BROTHERS. In the season opener, "Hunting for the One," a couple with a baby on the way searches for the perfect suburban home close to their family. The Property Brothers step in with a custom solution but since the couple's target area is only a few blocks wide, the hunt for a fixer-upper proves particularly tricky. Once they find "the one," it's up to Jonathan to transform the dated canvas into a midcentury modern masterpiece.

Later, asbestos cleanup hits the budget hard, forcing Jonathan to race to finish the reno five days earlier than projected.
