Plot Synopsis

This reality series follows six Los Angeles women who share a genuine sisterhood, as well as the dream of reclaiming their fame and putting their music careers back on track. Having seen all the highs and lows of the music business and now armed with important life lessons, they're fighting their way back, as they deal with major life transitions and challenges such as parenting issues, self-esteem issues, divorce and more. The divas are: Kelly Price, married to manager Jeffrey Rolle and with three children, who is focused on conquering the music business following her platinum- and gold-selling releases; Chante Moore, recently divorced and the mother of two, who is set to star on Broadway in the musical Gospel Soul Rock 'n' Roll and has an album set for release in 2013; Cynthia 'Lil Mo' Loving, married to manager Phillip Bryant and with four children (ranging in age from 10 to 4 months), who is ready to stage a comeback after leaving the music business to focus on her family; Claudette Ortiz, a single mother of three, who is trying to build on her successful solo career after her divorce from Ryan Toby, a former member of City High, the R&B/hip-hop group that put her on the map; Dawn Robinson, single again after her 2007 divorce, who is focused on releasing a book and forming another girl group called GLAMM, while trying to recreate the success she had as a member of En Vogue; and Michel'le Toussant, a single mother and former wife/girlfriend of Suge Knight and Dr. Dre, who is working on reclaiming her place in music, writing a memoir and making time to re-enter the dating scene. TV One premiered the second season of R&B DIVAS: LA on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT. Additionally, alumni cast members Chante Moore, Lil' Mo, Michel'le, Chrisette Michele and Leela James make their Season 3 return.
