Plot Synopsis

RACE TO THE WHITE HOUSE is a documentary series that uses rare archival footage, interviews and re-creations to tell the stories of iconic campaigns for the Presidency of the United States. From powerful speeches to the dirty tricks and Machiavellian schemes, this series captures the drama of a high-stakes presidential election and its impact on politics today.

Season 1, narrated by executive producer Kevin Spacey, highlights a different election, including these six races: Jackson vs. Adams; Lincoln vs. Douglas; Truman vs. Dewey; Kennedy vs. Nixon; Bush vs. Dukakis; and Clinton vs. Bush. In addition to Spacey, HOUSE OF CARDS' Dana Brunetti is also an executive producer.
