Plot Synopsis

In this three-part series about feral children, anthropologist Mary-Ann Ochota travels to Fiji, Ukraine and Uganda to track down witnesses, discover key sites and piece together the extraordinary survival story of children raised wild. Each 60-minute episode features a different feral child, including: a girl on all fours who snarls amid a pack of wild dogs; a filthy child being groomed by a troop of monkeys; and a small boy, surrounded by chickens, pecking at the ground. Animal Planet presented the U.S. premiere of this series on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 9pm ET.

On Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT, Animal Planet began a three-week encore presentation of this series with a new title, RAISED WILD: FERAL ENCOUNTERS. Each episode also had a new title, starting with "Raised by Wild Dogs," which was originally called "Dog Girl of Ukraine."
