Plot Synopsis

REBEL GOLD is a one-hour reality series that follows a group of treasure hunters, history experts and engineering specialists as they join forces to search for clues that could lead them to a legendary Civil War treasure, an estimated $20 million worth of gold and silver by today's value. As the Civil War came to an end in 1865, Confederate President Jefferson Davis fled Richmond, VA, with the contents of the Confederate treasury. Six weeks later, Davis was captured, but the treasure had vanished. For 150 years since the Civil War, many have attempted to find the lost Confederate riches. But with more than 500 miles of train tracks, dirt roads and river ways to explore, the treasure remains lost. Now, this group of treasure hunters retraces Jefferson Davis' trail, searching for clues of the rebel gold.
