Plot Synopsis

REV RUN'S RENOVATION is a half-hour reality series that follows Rev Run and his wife, Justine, as they deal with stress, noise, dust, and the local zoning board while their family and a team of builders completely renovate their 9,000 square-foot New Jersey home. As the family mansion is gutted from top to bottom, Run and Justine debate the new design possibilities for each space and argue about the budget and their different visions. Justine has grand plans to tap the budget to transform her outdated kitchen into a sleek, modern European-style space, but a structural problem threatens the plan, requiring a solution that also adds to the final design. Meanwhile, Run wants a mini indoor pool and spa. Plus, this series also chronicles the design and construction of new bedrooms and custom bathrooms for them and the kids: the couple's master suite is transformed into a modern masterpiece, complete with their own private living room; Russy wants a zen-like room; 18-year-old Diggy prefers his new space be contemporary, and Justine suggests turning it into the ultimate bachelor pad; and Miley asks for her new room to be like a fairytale castle, complete with a custom castle bed, a new bathroom and walk-in closet fit for a queen. REV RUN'S RENOVATION returned for its second season on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, as DIY Network aired back-to-back new episodes. Their renovation continues and Rev Run, his wife Justine, their kids Daniel (Diggy), Russell (Russy) and Miley, and a team of builders, pick up where they left off last season. This year, they tackle some major projects in their mansion, including a one-of-a-kind bowling alley, a rockin' pool house and a secret theater room. Rev and Justine have grand plans for their oversized and underused basement in the season premiere, and the couple and their team roll up their sleeves to transform their basement into the ultimate family fun zone that features a super-sleek bowling alley.
