Plot Synopsis

This limited series documents a different murder in each one-hour episode, with complete case history and prison interviews. The first episode, "Murder in the Hamptons," tells the story of Daniel Pelosi who was convicted of second-degree murder in the October 2001 bludgeoning death of millionaire Wall Street investment banker Theodore Ammon. Ammon was found bludgeoned to death in his East Hampton mansion, just days before signing divorce papers, while his wife, Generosa, dated Pelosi, who helped installed the security system in the Ammon home. Just three months later, Generosa married Pelosi, but she soon succumbed to cancer. On January 25, 2005, Pelosi was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison, and he is now appealing his conviction because he claims Generosa had Ammon killed and that his former employee, Christopher Parrino, is responsible for the murder.
