Plot Synopsis

Series stars and executive producers Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I. search for the next breakout hip-hop star in RHYTHM + FLOW by bringing together the biggest names in music to find fresh talent and help undiscovered hip-hop artists pursue their dreams. Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I. serve as the three main judges for the competition, joining forces with additional artists and industry VIPs throughout the 10-episode season. On Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the first four episodes, covering all of the auditions, which took place across the United States, including the judges' hometowns of Atlanta, Chicago, and New York. In each audition city, established rappers who hail from that city serve as guest judges to help seek out the best unsigned hip-hop artists:

Los Angeles Auditions: The judges kick off the search as T.I. drops in on Nipsey Hussle, Cardi B taps Snoop Dogg, and Chance checks out Anderson .Paak's picks.

New York Auditions: Looking to the streets, Cardi teams up with Fat Joe and Jadakiss at S.O.B.'s to find the East Coast rappers ready to represent in Cali.

Atlanta Auditions: After hearing out hot prospects at Killer Mike's SWAG Shop, T.I. gets down to judging the talent beside Quavo and Big Boi in hip-hop's new mecca.

Chicago Auditions: Originality, presence and prowess are key for Chance as he joins Lupe Fiasco, Twista and Royce Da 5'9" in a hunt for the Midwest's best.
On Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the final three episodes of RHYTHM + FLOW's first season:

"Samples": The task for the top six: Pick an iconic sample, write an original song and perform it in front of a huge audience -- all in 48 hours. Bangers only.

"Collaborations": John Legend delivers the news -- the final five must step it up for features alongside Jhene Aiko, Miguel, Teyana Taylor, Ty Dolla $ign and Tory Lanez.

"Finale": Finalists pen their dream songs with the hottest producers in the game and give performances worthy of an awards show. The judges choose a winner.
