Plot Synopsis

Each year since 2008, Ron White has hosted an evening of comedy dedicated to those who serve in the military, as fellow comedians help him raise funds annually for the Armed Forces Foundation and create awareness for PTSD. CMT has aired this special since 2011, with standup acts from these comedians:
2011: Lewis Black, Kathleen Madigan, Alex Reymundo, Tom Wilson, Vic Henley, and Robert Hawkins.
2012: Kathleen Madigan, Jake Johannsen, John Pinette and Mike Wilmot.
2013: Josh Blue, John Caparulo, Kathleen Madigan, Ralphie May and Brian Regan.
2014: Kathleen Madigan, Josh Blue, Roy Wood, Jr., Gabriel Iglesias and Geechy Guy.
2015: Shane Torres, Gene Pompa, Rocky LaPorte, Kathleen Madigan and Finesse Mitchell.

CMT premiered COMEDY SALUTE TO THE TROOPS 2015 on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 9:30pm ET/PT. In this 90-minute special, which was filmed at the Mirage Hotel and Casino stage in Las Vegas on March 4, 2015, Ron White and fellow comedians Shane Torres, Gene Pompa, Rocky LaPorte, Kathleen Madigan and Finesse Mitchell raise funds for the Armed Forces Foundation (AFF), create awareness for PTSD and give back to the men and women who have served their country. No topic is off limits in this new special as White and his friends offer all-new takes on a variety of topics, including diet and exercise, the laziness of his French bulldogs and his personal thoughts on standard police sobriety tests. To date, White and his wife Margo Rey have raised more than $1 million dollars for AFF.
