Plot Synopsis

Based on Daniel O'Malley's 2012 book of the same name, THE ROOK tells is a one-hour supernatural spy thriller series that tells the story of Myfanwy Thomas, a woman who wakes up in the rain beside London's Millennium Bridge with no memory of who she is and no way to explain the circle of latex-gloved dead bodies splayed around her. When Myfanwy discovers she is a high-ranking official in the Checquy, Britain's last truly secret service for people with paranormal abilities, she has to navigate the dangerous and complex world of the agency to uncover who wiped her memory -- and why she is a target. As Myfanwy unearths more of her troubled past and learns the truth about her own abilities, she discovers that no one in her life is quite as they seem. Myfanwy is faced with a choice --- return to the difficult life she has always known or seize this opportunity for a new beginning.

On Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 8pm ET/PT, Starz premiered the season finale of THE ROOK. In the season ender, Myfanwy and Farrier quickly discover how dangerous life is outside of the Checquy, while Grantchester runs out of options; Myfanwy chooses between her freedom and Farrier's life.
