    Season 1

Plot Synopsis

A group of young, ambitious cops, fresh out of the Academy in Season 1, were plunged into the world of big city policing -- a world where even the smallest mistake can have life-or-death consequences and some serious emotional fall-out. These rookies learned that no amount of training could have prepared them for life on the street, and, now, after three years on the job, they're well on their way to becoming experienced officers. Andy McNally is the soul of this close-knit group. She's a twentysomething perfectionist, honest to a fault, and has always wanted to be a good cop. Her father was a cop, and while he wasn't the best cop -- or the best father -- Andy knows she'll never find this sense of family, loyalty and excitement in any other job. She's had relationships with Luke and Sam, the latter causing her to be suspended from the force for three months. Just when she's about to rekindle her relationship with Sam toward the end of Season 3, she accepts an undercover mission, leaving him waiting for her. The rest of the rookies include: Traci, a street smart and highly independent single mother who is Andy's best friend; Dov, the group's thrill seeker whose attitude stems from being raised by hippie parents; Chris, the straight-and-narrow poster boy for the force and a walking talking police manual; and Gail, the self-serving politico from cop royalty, whose ambition is so blind that she'll trample anyone who gets in her way. Andy also works with Detective Sam Swarek, a rogue training officer, and Luke Callaghan, a charming workaholic homicide detective. On Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 10pm ET, ABC (United States) and Global TV (Canada) simultaneously aired the Season 4 premiere of ROOKIE BLUE, picking up six months after Andy and Nick left for their undercover operation. Plus, the new season introduced new rookie Chloe Price and training office Marlo Cruz. ROOKIE BLUE returned for its fifth season in the U.S. on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, as ABC broadcast a two-hour season premiere. In keeping with the previous season's theme of change, 15 Division welcomes two new characters who shake up the familiar dynamic. Inspector John Jarvis strolls into 15 Division with a serious agenda. He wants the real story: is this a division full of heroes or a minefield full of screw-ups? Seamlessly flipping from pleasant to menacing, Inspector Jarvis is a political spin-master of epic proportions. Also new to the team is 15 Division's brand-new rookie, Duncan 'Selfie' Moore. He is the very picture of a fresh-faced millennial: confident, eager to impress, and excellent at pointing out mistakes, particularly other people's. But when Duncan struggles to fit into the group at 15, the officers soon have their hands full with this challenging and well-connected new recruit. Season 6 of ROOKIE BLUE premiered on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT on ABC. Last season the officers at 15 Division unearthed their sins of the past -- dug through it, aired it out, and paved the way to move forward. They have all grown and are more resilient than ever. This season, they will have to learn to embrace living in the gray areas, because life is complicated and the best laid plans are just that. But sometimes it's the unpredictable things life throws our way that turn out to be exactly what we need. On Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, ABC premiered the "Uprising" episode of ROOKIE BLUE. As tensions are running high in an over capacity women's correctional facility, a riot breaks out while Andy, Juliet, Nick, and Gail are there to transfer two inmates. The officers are separated and a lock-down situation leads to Andy and Juliet being trapped with a dangerous prisoner who is desperate to prove her innocence. Meanwhile, Sam shows up at Marlo's ultrasound and stays by her side while they anxiously wait to hear if something's wrong with the baby.

ABC premiered the Season 6 finale of ROOKIE BLUE on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT. In the season ender, "74 Epiphanies," Andy and Sam's wedding comes just in time for everyone to celebrate one last time as the restructuring of 15 Division looms. But when Andy is taken off-course by a hitchhiker and then stranded on the side of the road with a dying man, she finds herself with no way to get help -- or let Sam know her situation. Will she be able to save the man's life? And will she make it to her wedding?
