Plot Synopsis

Filmed in the heart of Harlem and modeled after TED Talks, THE ROUND is a half-hour series that showcases speakers who share their personal journeys, with each woman using their eight-minute talk to leave the audience with one key concept to activate in their own life. Speakers include: Kimberly Blackwell, CEO, PMM Agency; Tiffany Dufu, Chief Leadership Officer, Levo; Sheryl Jones, Owner, Sheryl Jones Designs (Diamond District); Tamika Mallory, Civil Rights & Anti-Violence Activist; TeeJ Mercer, CEO, Media Mavericks Academy; Vashti McKenzie, Bishop, AME Church; Jodie Patterson, Founder, Doobop.com; Tricia Rose, Author & Professor, Brown University; Angela Rye, Principal & CEO, Impact Strategies; and Bershan Shaw, Transformational Speaker. THE ROUND returned for its second season on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11pm ET/PT on Centric. In the season opener, Ms. Hira shares perspectives on the power of personal totems, and Ms. Reed-Veal, a Mother of the Movement, encourages viewers to be ready and willing to walk their own personal path with faith, regardless of life's peaks and valleys.
