Plot Synopsis
Created by Justin Spitzer and Eric Ledgin, ST. DENIS MEDICAL is a half-hour mockumentary series about an underfunded, understaffed Oregon hospital where the dedicated doctors and nurses try their best to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity. The hospital opens its doors on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 with two back-to-back episodes from 8-9pm ET/PT on NBC, with a new installment debuting weekly on Tuesdays at 8pm. Episodes include:
"Welcome to St. Denis" (Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 8pm): Alex is torn between her daughter's school play and an "all hands" situation in the Emergency Department; Joyce spends the hospital's limited funds on a fancy mammography machine; Matt's first day as a nurse isn't going as he'd hoped.
"A Very Robust Personal Life" (Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 8:30pm): Joyce's belief that personal life should stay out of the workplace is tested by unexpected news. Ron thinks a patient has a crush on him. Bruce tries to demonstrate the value of his important work.
"Weird Stuff You Can't Explain" (Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 8pm): When Ron hexes the day to prove superstitions aren't real, things at the hospital start getting weird. Joyce and Matt discover an employee's secret.
"Salamat You Too" (Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 8pm): Alex accidentally provokes the Emergency Department's mean girls. Ron and Serena battle over parking etiquette. Bruce has a hard time letting go of the spotlight.
"A Peanut and Caramel-Filled Miracle" (Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 8pm): Ron and Bruce butt heads over a candy bar. Alex is forced to fire an incompetent employee. Matt seeks appreciation for saving a patient's life.
"Ho-Ho-Hollo" (Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 8pm): It's the holiday season at St. Denis. Alex and Ron care for a patient whose diagnosis is not what it seems. Joyce enlists Serena's help to boost St. Denis' online presence. Bruce and Matt help a Santa in need.
"50 cc's of Kindness" (Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 8pm; winter premiere): Ron mocks Alex and Matt's attempts to resolve a conflict between two prison inmates who stabbed each other in a gang fight. Serena helps Bruce address his fear of needles. Joyce finds herself smitten by the burly prison guard.
"Gimme the Scuttlebutt" (Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 8pm): An "intimacy in the workplace" discussion leads Joyce to discover she's out of the loop on office gossip. Alex gets self-conscious about her sex life. Bruce tries to fight a new policy about dating co-workers.
"You Gotta Have a Plan" (Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 8pm): Joyce asks Alex to be the executor of her estate; Matt and Serena are forced to keep watch over a bickering family; Bruce grapples with unexpected DNA test results.
"People Just Say Stuff Online" (Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 8pm): Ron's bedside manner earns him a complaint from a frustrated patient; Alex insists an unflattering online review was not about her; Bruce confronts his high-school bully.
"Nobody Even Mentions the Brownies!" (Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 8pm): Joyce pushes the staff to upsell patients on hospital procedures, kicking off some fierce competition and a case of mistaken identity; Bruce and Ron try to play plumber for a day.
"Buffalo Bruce and Matty the Kid" (Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 8pm): An emotional support animal is loose in the halls of St. Denis; Alex goes big for Serena's birthday to mixed results.
"Some Famous Internet Guy" (Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 8pm): When a famous musician's performance at the hospital is delayed, Joyce throws an impromptu talent show with the St. Denis staff; Alex attempts to connect with her daughter, Ella.
"Listen to Your Ladybugs" (Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 8pm): Joyce launches a women's health initiative to unexpected results; Ron treats a patient who has all the answers; Bruce has an existential crisis.
ST. DENIS MEDICAL has been renewed for a second season.
