Plot Synopsis

With a history stretching over several generations, Greater Hope Baptist Church and its surrounding community outside Atlanta are a family in themselves. The church began as a 10-member congregation when the Civil Rights Movement was at its height and being young, black and alone at night was a hazard of circumstance. As times changed, the congregation grew and so did its influence in the small town of Cypress. However, in this family, love and loyalty have become tainted by lust, greed, and deeply ingrained secrets. With the return of prodigal son Levi Sterling and a shocking crime that rattles the core of the community, mysteries begin to unravel and the church that holds the secrets of the entire town is at risk of imploding. For it seems at Greater Hope, only God and the Devil can tell the difference between a saint and a sinner. After a successful run on Wall Street, Levi returns to his hometown where the church pastor, Evan Johnson, is harboring many dark doings from his faithful believers. Pastor Evan's wife, Lady Ella Johnson, is a beauty queen with a business mind and the power behind the throne. Their minister of music is Miles Calloway, a former R&B star and one-hit wonder. Pastor Evan's and Lady Ella's daughter is Dr. Christie Johnson, their own living child, who who tends to local patients but has her own private issues. And who doesn't in this town, where Mayor Pamela Clayborne is a hard-nosed former prosecutor whose secrets are catching up to her and Rex Fisher is a ruthless local loan shark with his hand in many of the dealings in town. Plus, Levi's cousin, Jabari works for Rex and is torn between family and business.

The sophomore season of SAINTS & SINNERS premiered on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on Bounce TV. The second season brings viewers back to Cypress, Georgia, the sleepy southern town outside Atlanta which has been rocked by the murders of a beloved pastor and the town's Mayor. Death's shadow continues to loom over the town's epicenter, Greater Hope Baptist Church, as a dead body is discovered on its grounds, bringing up the church's sordid past along with it. As concealed secrets claw their way to the surface, new alliances are formed and deceit, jealousy and compromising sexual affairs threaten to shatter lives and demolish the heart of the church and the town forever. As everyone's dark past comes to light, the difference between being a saint or a sinner becomes more distorted than ever.
