Plot Synopsis

Sarah Richardson and her design sidekick Tommy Smythe renovate her weekend getaway, which is located on an island 17 miles off shore. They reconfigure and add onto the existing cottage while maintaining all of the views of the surrounding Canadian landscape and continue to use solar panels to provide power for the entire cottage as an homage to the environment. With a baby on the way and having to battle spring ice and black flies, will Sarah finish her renovation in time? HGTV aired the U.S. premiere of SARAH'S SUMMER HOUSE on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 8pm ET.
