Plot Synopsis

SAW DOGS is a reality series that follows a team of chainsaw carvers, as they battle deadlines and strict budgets while blending their individual styles to complete commissioned high-end wooden sculptures for their discerning -- and very opinionated -- clients. In each 30-minute episode, the team works on a single project, including: an enormous bar for an exclusive mountaintop winery; a soaring eagle sculpture for a spectacular golf course; a horse racing commission; a whale and her baby floating above twisted roots in a marine sculpture for a fishing village; a tree fort; and many more spectacular sculptures. Plus, this series features these carvers: master carver Steve Blanchard, who leads the team and is best known for his hobbit-like treehouses; assistant Pete Rieger, who specializes in massive chainsaw sculptures like the Norse god Odin and various types of wildlife; apprentice Ryan Cook; and other team members, like Paul Frenette, Pete Ryan, Tommy Craggs, Ben Risney and Jeff Samudosky. Filmed in Canada (Squamish, BC).
