Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Emmanuel Acho, SECOND CHANCE STAGE is an eight-episode talent competition series that offers contestants who have pushed their dreams aside for years, even decades, a second chance at their big break. With performances ranging from dancing to singing to stand-up comedy and more, one winner will receive a $100,000 cash prize in front of an audience full of talent scouts, agents, and producers looking for the next big star. Judges include country music superstar Martina McBride, stage and screen actor Taye Diggs, and SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE cast member, comedian and actress Heidi Gardner. SECOND CHANCE STAGE debuted on Thursday, November 28, 2024 on Max, which released the first two episodes. Two new installments drop on Max weekly on Thursdays through December 19. Two days after their premiere on Max, each pair of episodes make their linear television debut on Magnolia Network at Saturdays from 8-10pm ET. Episodes include:

"Your Second Chance Starts Now" (world premiere on Thursday, November 28, 2024 on Max; linear TV debut on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 8pm ET on Magnolia Network): Five acts share their love of music, dance and magic for a shot at making it to the finale for the chance of winning $100,000.

"Making a Comeback" (world premiere on Thursday, November 28, 2024 on Max; linear TV debut on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 9pm ET on Magnolia Network): A second group sings, performs stand up, plays saxophone and step dances to compete for the chance to advance to the finale.

"Country and a Classical Twist" (world premiere on Thursday, December 5, 2024 on Max; linear TV debut on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 8pm ET on Magnolia Network): A grocer, client specialist, rancher, financial planner and teacher take the stage for their chance to achieve their long-delayed dreams.

"Ballads and Bounce Backs" (world premiere on Thursday, December 5, 2024 on Max; linear TV debut on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 9pm ET on Magnolia Network): Having overcome life-altering setbacks, five talented acts take the stage, including a musical duo, dancer, singer, comedian and opera hopeful.

"Unexpected Surprises" (world premiere on Thursday, December 12, 2024 on Max; linear TV debut on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 7pm ET on Magnolia Network): A singing waitress, guitar-shredding grandma, energetic dance instructor, comedic ad exec and flute-playing ironworker get their shot at fame.

"Jumping into the Competition" (world premiere on Thursday, December 12, 2024 on Max; linear TV debut on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 8pm ET on Magnolia Network): On the eve of finale, the judges choose between six performances, including a jump rope team, dancers, stand-ups and a jazz crooner.

"The Stage Is Yours" (world premiere on Thursday, December 19, 2024 on Max; linear TV debut on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 7pm ET on Magnolia Network): After a bombshell reveal, the finalists perform in front of friends, family and industry leaders who could make their dreams come true.

"And the Winner Is..." (world premiere on Thursday, December 19, 2024 on Max; linear TV debut on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 8pm ET on Magnolia Network): As the remaining finalists leave it all on the stage, the judges must choose which act will take home the $100,000 grand prize.
