Plot Synopsis

Narrated by Sigourney Weaver and executive produced by James Cameron, SECRETS OF THE WHALES is a four-part documentary series that the explores epicenter of whale culture to experience the extraordinary communication skills and intricate social structures of five different whale species: orcas, humpbacks, belugas, narwhals and sperm whales. Filmed over three years in 24 locations, throughout this epic journey, we learn that whales are far more complex and more like us than ever imagined. Disney+ released all four episodes of SECRETS OF THE WHALES on Earth Day 2021 (Thursday, April 22).

SECRETS OF THE WHALES made its linear television debut one year later on Earth Day 2022 (Friday, April 22) from 7pm-Midnight ET/PT, as Nat Geo Wild aired all four episodes back to back.
