Plot Synopsis
In this three-part series, naturalists and filmmakers travel to the world's most remote habitats and use innovative techniques to capture footage of rare animal behavior -- without disrupting the creatures' daily routines and struggles. Each 60-minute episode features a different habitat, including wide-open spaces, dense forests and deep oceans. The three episodes are: "Exposed," which chronicles life across the endless plains of the Serengeti, the crisp white expanses of the Arctic and the windswept Himalayan Plateaux; "Lost World," which documents the wary creatures living in dense forests, vast tracts of mountains and rugged terrain; and "Going Deep," which uses robot cameras disguised as sea life and aerial cameras to track the oceans' most prolific travelers. On Sunday, June 15, 2014, Nat Geo Wild not only premiered the series, but broadcast all three episodes back to back from 8-11pm ET/PT.
