Plot Synopsis

Based on an original idea from Miguel de Almeida, SEPTEMBER MORNINGS is a drama series that tells the journey of Cassandra who left her hometown behind when she decided to no longer make any concessions and become who she always wanted to be: a free and independent transgender woman. After years of suffering in silence, things finally begin to get on track in her life. Cassandra has a place of her own for the first time as well as a boyfriend who she loves, Ivaldo, and in addition to a job as a courier in downtown Sao Paulo, she gets to fulfill her dream of being a cover artist of Vanusa, a famous Brazilian singer from the 70s. Her life takes an unexpected turn, however, when Cassandra's ex, Leide, shows up with a kid she claims to be Cassandra's. All five one-hour episodes of SEPTEMBER MORNINGS dropped on Friday, June 25, 2021 on Amazon Prime.

On Friday, September 23, 2022, the entire six-episode season second of SEPTEMBER MORNINGS dropped on Prime Video, with half-hour episodes. Cassandra reunites with her father after a decade, and finds a loving man eager to reconnect with his daughter and her new family. As her beliefs fade into thin air, she will try to figure out what kind of woman, mother, daughter and girlfriend she wants to be. During this search, Gersinho, the boy who caused the tsunami in her life, will also be her life boat and source of joy.
