Plot Synopsis
Narrated by Sir David Attenborough, SEVEN WORLDS, ONE PLANET is a seven-part documentary series that reveals how each distinct continent has shaped the unique animal life found there. The series celebrates the diversity of life on each of these continents, but also features the many challenges faced by animals in a modern world dominated by humanity. By telling unknown, unseen and unexpected wildlife stories, the program uncovers fundamental truth about what makes each one of our seven worlds unique.
SEVEN WORLDS, ONE PLANET features new animal behavior from all the continents -- from the baking plains of Africa and the frozen waters off Antarctica. In Asia, the biggest of all continents, the program showcases life at the extremes, whilst in Europe is reveals surprising wildlife dramas hidden right alongside humans. to do this, filmmakers have employed new technology, including 8K cameras and boundary-defining drone techniques, to capture unique perspectives, new species, and animal behavior filming firsts. Filming firsts include: polar bears jumping from rocks to catch adult beluga whales; a firefly spectacle in North America captured with a motion control tracking time-lapse camera; puma successfully hunting adult guanaco in South America; spidaboo mating dance in Australia; grave robbing hamsters in Europe; the largest aggregation of great whales ever filmed in Antarctica; Sir David Attenborough with the last two northern white rhinos on Earth in Africa; and much more.
SEVEN WORLDS, ONE PLANET had its U.S. premiere on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 9-10:30pm ET/PT on BBC America, with a simulcast on AMC, IFC, and SundanceTV. Because of the ongoing wildfires Down Under, the series premiered in the U.S. with the episode about Australia.

On Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 9pm ET/PT, BBC America premiered the finale of SEVEN WORLDS, ONE PLANET, with a simulcast on AMC, IFC, and SundanceTV. The 90-minute series ender focuses on Africa, which is home to the greatest wildlife show on Earth; chimps make tools, cheetah hunt prey twice their size and devious imposters trick fish mothers.
