Plot Synopsis

This documentary series investigates evidence that describes the role of sex in ancient locales, such as Pompeii and Egypt. Pompeii was the center of the Roman sex trade and its treasure trove of erotic frescoes, pornographic sculptures, phallic street signs pointing to houses of prostitution, and dirty graffiti. A 3,000 year-old erotic papyrus scroll indicates that ancient Egyptians participated in elaborate fertility rituals and also enjoyed explicit erotic art for its own sake.
