Plot Synopsis

Using re-creations, archival footage, and interviews with former CIA, FBI, KGB, and MI6 agents, SHADOW OPS reveals true tales of spy games from agents who risked their lives in global espionage. Each 60-minute episode features a different secret agent, including: a top KGB spy, who became America's greatest asset in the Cold War after defecting to the West; KGB Colonel Oleg Gordievsky, who spent ten years spying for Britain's secret service -- only to learn that the Soviets were on to him; a KGB turncoat, who was ready to turn over top secret intelligence to bring down the Soviet Union from within; and many more spies.
