Plot Synopsis

DESIGN STAR Season 7 winner Danielle Colding showcases her personal approach to designing a room using a home owner's favorite item for inspiration. Whether it's a ginger jar, a grandmother's photo or a midcentury lamp, Danielle shows viewers how to design a space around their prized pieces. In each 30-minute episode, Danielle helps a different owner transform a space after identifying these items for inspiration: two shopping finds, a vintage painting of the sea and a ginger jar, to help her finish a kitchen that's a warm and inviting space for the whole family to enjoy; a cool vintage lamp to inspire her to mix vintage and modern to create a gorgeous new space the whole family can enjoy; a vintage doorknob to prompt her to design a bright and lively family room that finally feels like home; a lacquered modern sideboard in shades of purple and earthy green, which urges her to create a warm and modern kitchen, where they can cook, eat, and relax together; and many more prized possessions.
