Plot Synopsis

Actor Alec Mapa and choreographer Lisette Bustamante travel across the United States, stopping in small American cities where they have 48 hours to mentor each town's four best performers, giving them the chance to win $10,000 at that city's final competition. Following an open casting call, that town's four finalists work for two days with mentors Mapa and Bustamante to prepare for the big show. During their preparation, SHOWVILLE reveals the finalists' back-stories as they prepare for their performances at a well-known local venue, where an audience comprised of families, friends and neighbors are ultimately responsible for selecting the victor. Each 60-minute episode of SHOWVILLE features singers, dancers, comedians, magicians, ventriloquists, and jugglers from a single town, including: Holland, MI (casting call was held on December 8, 2012); Kingston, RI (December 14, 2012); Walla Walla, WA (January 5, 2013); San Marcos, TX (January 11, 2013); Hugo, OK (January 17, 2013); Mount Airy, NC (January 23, 2013); Athens, OH (January 29, 2013); and Fairfield, IA (February 4, 2013).
