Plot Synopsis

SI: THE MAKING OF SWIMSUIT 2015 is a five-part series that takes viewers on location and into the closed sets where "Sports Illustrated" cameras capture the world's most beautiful women amidst glamorous vistas and lavish landscapes, revealing the unguarded moments and the chemistry between the models and crew who push the boundaries to get the perfect shot. Each one-hour program focuses on a different theme, including: Hawaii, where the crew must face Mother Nature in a battle for the perfect magazine cover and the models fight the wind and rain to find the perfect light; Route 66, as the models and crew travel from Chicago to the Santa Monica Pier in California, visiting a local Missouri bar and posing for the first-ever "Sports Illustrated" Selfie Shoot; West Coast, as the team travels more than 1,000 miles along America's scenic left coast to discover the country's most beautiful landscapes, while models contend with bees on a lavender farm; Natural Beauty, as the models and crew visit a few of the most famous national parks in the United States, where Old Faithful proves to be less-than-faithful and 50-mph winds in Utah kick up sand, pebbles and huge problems; and Beauty and the East, as the crew heads east on the final leg of their "Made in the USA" shoot, where models horse around on a working farm and are faced with a body paint disaster when waves start to roll in at the beach. This series aired from Sunday, February 15 through Wednesday, February 18, 2015 as part of Travel Channel's "Beach Week" event.
