Plot Synopsis

In this half-hour series, Texas Monthly BBQ editor Daniel Vaughn travels around the country looking for delicious hidden barbecue gems. On Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 8:30pm ET/5:30pm PT, Cooking Channel premiered SMOKELANDIA's pilot, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the pilot, "Hot Links, Whole Hog," Daniel finds truly original hot links that have been served for almost a century at Patillo's Bar-B-Q in Beaumont, Texas. Then, he finds a surprisingly delicious pork belly at Hoodoo Brown BBQ in Ridgefield, Connecticut before visiting Sam Jones BBQ in North Carolina for a legendary whole hog.
