Plot Synopsis

At Bryant Auction in the Missouri Ozarks, master auctioneer Rick Bryant presents rare collectibles and crazy one-of-a-kind items that attract buyers and sellers from hundreds of miles away every week for a bidding showdown. SOLD! goes behind the scenes at Bryant Auction, as Rick and his crew track down objects with profit potential, haggle with sellers, and create a stir on the auction floor to get the bidding wars going. They comb attics, warehouses, basements, and back rooms for treasures that they believe can fetch a price -- from an authentic Civil War musket in working condition to a Wile E. Coyote-style TNT detonator box to a collection of hand-crafted cowhide toilet seats. Rick's father, Richard Bryant Sr., founded Bryant Auction in 1967 when he decided to start a caring, honest auction service after watching treasured family heirlooms liquidated by others in a careless fashion. After working in the business with his three siblings, Rick was the youngest licensed auctioneer in the state of Iowa at just 13 years old. Now, Rick has continued the family tradition by working with his own family: Dylan, his son, who is the cashier, webmaster, and marketing coordinator; Danyale, his daughter, who is one of the company's best clerks; and Tracey, his wife, who runs the concession stand that has weekly specials and exquisite formal quality dinners.
