Plot Synopsis

New York rapper Cory Gunz has one last chance to make it in the world of hip-hop, and now his father Bronx MC Peter Gunz and industry mogul Nick Cannon are forming an alliance to help him achieve stardom. Cory previously had major record deals with Casablanca and Def Jam, but neither relationship produced an album. He recently had a breakthrough when he hit the charts as a featured performer on Lil Wayne's "6 Foot 7 Foot," and now he's working on his own album. But first, he must choose a new record label while overcoming some major problems with family and business that seem to be bubbling at the surface. Once he picks a new label, he must assemble a team to help him, but he'll quickly find that the lines between family, friends and business can easily be blurred in this industry.
