Plot Synopsis

Based on the Sonic the Hedgehog video games, SONIC PRIME is a half-hour animated series that follows Sonic and his crew battle cyborgs, robots, and the Chaos Council. When an explosive battle with Dr. Eggman shatters the universe, Sonic races through parallel dimensions to reconnect with his friends and save the world. Desperate to piece his prime reality back together and save his old friends, Sonic races through the Shatterverse, discovering strange worlds and enlisting new friends in an epic adventure of a lifetime! The entire eight-episode first season of SONIC PRIME dropped on Thursday, December 15, 2022 on Netflix.

Season 2 of SONIC PRIME debuted on Thursday, July 13, 2023 on Netflix, which released all eight episodes of the new season. With the help of his ragtag group of Shatterverse allies, Sonic battles the Chaos Council for control of the powerful Paradox Prism, one Shard at a time. In the season opener, "Avoid the Void," Shadow ambushes Sonic in the void of the Shatterverse to confront his rival about the destruction of Green Hill -- and take matters into his own hands.
