Plot Synopsis

Based on the British TV series SAS: WHO DARES WINS, SPECIAL FORCES: WORLD'S TOUGHEST TEST is a reality series that features 16 celebrities enduring some of the harshest, most grueling challenges from the playbook of the actual Special Forces selection process. There are no votes, and no eliminations -- just survival. These celebrities, who are so used to being in the spotlight, quickly learn the meaning of "no guts, no glory" -- and no glam. Selection for the Special Forces is a test unlike any other. Sixteen celebrities from all genres take on, and try to survive, demanding training exercises led by Directing Staff (DS) agents Rudy Reyes, Mark "Billy" Billingham, Jason "Foxy" Fox, and Remi Adeleke, an elite team of ex-special forces operatives. In this series, the only way for these recruits to leave is to give up on their own accord, through failure or potential injury, or by force from the DS. Viewers see the recruits face the harshest of environments that simulate the highly classified selection process, pushing themselves in a way they have never been challenged before. The series is the ultimate test of their physical, mental and emotional resilience -- revealing the celebrities' deepest and truest character. Who will quit, who will survive?

Season 2 of SPECIAL FORCES: WORLD'S TOUGHEST TEST premiered on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT on FOX. A new group of celebrity recruits are ready to test their bodies and minds as they are pushed to the limit through some of the harshest, most grueling challenges from the playbook of the actual Special Forces selection process. This season, the group of celebrities which includes medaled Olympians, beloved actors, iconic television personalities and a seven-time NBA champion, arrive in an all-new treacherous winter terrain to face extreme training drills, including an emergency escape from a submerged helicopter, a cliff crawl across a snowcapped mountain peak and a daring backwards dive into icy waters in the dead of night. There are no votes and no eliminations -- just survival. They try to survive the demanding training exercises led by Directing Staff (DS) agents Rudy Reyes, Mark "Billy" Billingham, Jason "Foxy" Fox and new agent, Jovon "Q" Quarles, an elite team of ex-special forces operatives. The 14 celebrities in Season 2 include: Dez Bryant, Tyler Cameron, Savannah Chrisley, Blac Chyna, Brian Austin Green, Robert Horry, Erin Jackson, Bode Miller, Jack Osbourne, Tara Reid, Kelly Rizzo, Tom Sandoval, JoJo Siwa and Nick Viall. In the season opener, "Far from Home," the recruits will be faced with the harsh reality of winter warfare training on the mountains of New Zealand where the terrain and freezing temperatures are brutal and the tasks will feel like torture. There are no votes, and no eliminations - just survival. These celebrities, who are so used to being in the spotlight, will quickly learn the meaning of "no guts, no glory" -- and no glam. The only way for these recruits to leave is to give up on their own accord, through failure or potential injury, or by force from the DS. Who will survive, who will fail?
