Plot Synopsis

Created by Santa Ynez Chumash tribal member and the first California Native American showrunner Karissa Valencia, SPIRIT RANGERS is an animated fantasy-adventure preschool series that's inspired by stories from Native American tribes and the majestic landscapes of national parks of America. The series follows three Chumash/Cowlitz siblings -- Kodi, Summer and Eddy Skycedar -- who share a secret: they are Spirit Rangers who help protect the land and spirits of the national park that they call home in California. Taking on new perspectives as a grizzly bear cub, red-tailed hawk and spunky turtle, the Skycedar kids take on every challenge -- from helping a lost thunderbird to waking a sleepy sun -- with courage and compassion. The entire 10-episode first season of SPIRIT RANGERS dropped on Monday, October 10, 2022 on Netflix.

SPIRIT RANGERS returned for its second season on Monday, May 8, 2023 on Netflix, as the streaming service released all 10 episodes of the new season. Eddy, Summer and Kodi are back in action at Xus National Park, learning about nature on exciting adventures with new visitors -- and old friends, too. In the season opener, "Tricksters Steal the Sun; Spirit Kittens," Coyote and the Skycedar siblings tangle with a wily Trickster Trio; watching over a mountain lion spirit's kittens shows Eddy how much work pets can be.
