Plot Synopsis

Based on the acclaimed book series by author Christopher Pike, SPOOKSVILLE is a half-hour scripted drama that follows Adam Freeman, the new kid in town, who discovers that he holds the key to a battle between good and evil that has been taking place for centuries in a bizarre small town the locals call "Spooksville." After Adam and his dad move to a small seaside town to get a fresh start following his mother's disapearrance, he finds a bizarre spider-lizard monster in his bedroom and immediately experiences one of the wide array of supernatural and unexplained occurrences that occur in his new hometown. Adam soon becomes friends with Sally and Watch, and the threesome embark on wild adventures, investigating the strange happenings. They may find a secret map that transports them back to 1771 where they meet a witch able to unlock mysteries of the present or they may explore an abandoned house that has pulled a young boy inside on Halloween, only to find themselves slowly transforming into their costumer alter-egos. Regardless of their adventure, Adam and his newfound friends set out on a quest to save the town from supernatural forces and solve the mystery of the town's age-old curse. On this mission, Sally has designated Adam as her self-appointed hero, but she feels that it's her mission to convince Adam that Ann is evil, and to save him from the mysterious young heiress whose ancestor, witch Madeline Templeton, cursed Springville 300 years ago. They're joined by Watch, who has fashioned his parents' basement into a makeshift lab, full of computerized gizmos meant to measure electromagnetic fields that will open onto parallel dimensions, thus solving the mysteries of Spooksville. Along the way, they meet a variety of other characters, including: Ann Templeton, the beautiful young heiress living in the stone mansion up on the hill, who wants something that Adam unknowingly has -- The Raven's Eye, a magical stone that escaped Madeline's grasp moments before her demise; Moorpark, Ann's chauffeur and assistant, who is the servant of Madeline Templeton sent to ensure Ann stays in line; and Madeline Templeton, who was accused of being a witch and later sentenced to death by the townsfolk of Springville, cursing the town before she died 300 years ago.

SPOOKSVILLE returned for its mid-season premiere on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 5pm ET/2pm PT on The Hub. In "Shell Shock," the first episode back, Sally reluctantly agreed to go along with her parents to visit the exclusive Springville Yacht Club, where a teenaged boy, who was an aspiring yacht club member, disappeared. To help solve this mysterious disappearance, Sally enlisted the help of Adam and Watch to investigate and they soon discovered that the Yacht club was home to Spooksville's latest supernatural terror -- a giant mutant crab pirate.
