Plot Synopsis

STABLE WARS DEL MAR is a reality series that follows two rival thoroughbred owners at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, as they compete to become "King of Del Mar" on and off the track. Plus, this series goes behind the scenes, revealing a different side of the trainers, jockeys, and groupies. From July to September 2013, Scotty Kaplan and Billy Koch competed for bragging rights -- and prize money -- while facing off over horses, parties, and the winners' circle. Kaplan is a sports-radio host on San Diego's The Mighty 1090, and he assembled a diverse group of investors to pony up cash for the Great Friends Stables, a horse-racing syndicate. Koch, the founder and managing partner of Little Red Feather Thoroughbred Racing, is the grandson of the late Hollywood legend Howard W. Koch, and he brings his friends from the entertainment industry. STABLE WARS DEL MAR first premiered on Fox Sports San Diego on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 10:30pm PT, and then premiered on many other regional Fox Sports channels in the subsequent few days.
