Plot Synopsis
STAR TREK: DISCOVERY follows the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself. Michael Burnham is the First Officer, and her razor-sharp logic and intellect is a result of her Vulcan upbringing. The Starfleet Captain of the Starship Discovery is Captain Gabriel Lorca, a formidable leader with a decisive charisma that hides many secrets. Lieutentant Paul Stamets is an astromycologist (aka fungus expert), who's the Starfleet Science Officer aboard the Starship Discovery. His counterpart, Lieutenant Ash Tyler, is a Starfleet Officer in the federation, who, as a prisoner of war, has seen the dark side of the Starfleet's battle with the Klingons. On the Klingon side, T'Kuvma is their leader, trying to unite the 24 Klingon houses. One of these houses -- the House of Kor -- is led be Kol. STAR TREK: DISCOVERY premiered on Sunday, September 24, 2017 on CBS Television Network at 8:30pm ET/PT, with the second episode available online immediately afterward on CBS All Access.
