Plot Synopsis

STEAL THIS HOUSE is a one-hour reality series that follows Cristy Lee, who sees the potential in the most unexpected, inexpensive properties in the greater Detroit area and aims to turn them into astonishing homes. For her clients, Cristy proves that it's worth the risk to buy a lower-priced house that needs work, create a smart budget and invest in a renovation to create the home of their dreams. Known for her expertise fixing cars, trucks and bikes, Cristy applies her unique talents to personalize clients' homes with custom amenities, including fabricating metal work for fireplace surrounds and kitchen hoods and repurposing wood to create a one-of-a-kind 3D map. In the series opener, Cristy meets Tim and Melissa, who, after three years of searching, still can't find a property in their price range that fulfills their must-have wish list. Undaunted by the lack of inventory, Cristy takes their sizable half-million dollar budget and helps them find and overhaul their long-awaited home.
