Plot Synopsis

From creators, executive producers, showrunners, and writers Brian Donovan and Ed Herro, THE STICKY is a six-episode dark comedy that's inspired by a real-life heist that made global headlines in 2012, which saw more than $18 million worth of maple syrup stolen from Quebec's national reserves. The series follows Ruth Landry, a tough middle-aged maple syrup farmer, who turns to crime when the bureaucratic authorities threaten to take away everything she loves. She teams up with a hot-tempered, low-level Bostonian mobster, Mike Byrne, and a mild-mannered French-Canadian security guard, Remy Bouchard, to carry out a multi-million-dollar heist on Quebec's maple syrup surplus. As the plan for the heist comes together, Ruth is arrested for vandalizing the Association; meanwhile, big city cop Valerie Nadeau is called in to investigate a murder. Soon after, Ruth, Mike and Remy are involved in a white-knuckle race with the police to prevent them discovering evidence that would jeopardize the heist. Will they succeed? All six half-hour episodes of THE STICKY dropped on Friday, December 6, 2024 on Prime Video.
