Plot Synopsis

Professional buyers and their teams scour repossessed storage units in search of hidden treasure. These guys are part gamblers, part detectives, and all auction professionals. They've found everything from coffins to the world's most valuable comic book collection, sometimes paying as little as ten dollars for items valued in the millions. In each 30-minute episode, a group of bidders gets a quick peek inside the units, aided only by the beam of a flashlight. They must quickly assess if the unit is worth a bid and how high they'll actually go at auction. Will their purchase be mostly trash or a true treasure? Season 4 debuted on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, with back-to-back new episodes featuring auctions in Stanton, CA and Huntington Beach, CA, but the new season started without Dave Hester, who did not return after failing to negotiate a contract. Three months later, STORAGE WARS celebrated its 100th episode on Tuesday, June 18 at 9:30pm ET/PT. Season 5 of STORAGE WARS premiered on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, as A&E aired back-to-back new episodes. After Barry Weiss retired from the storage-unit business, STORAGE WARS welcomed back Ivy Calvin and Rene Nezhodah and his wife Casey as more frequent buyers in the fifth season. In the night's first episode, "The Man in Black is Back... In Black," everyone is shocked to see Dave return to the auctions with a vengeance, but even the Mogul can't stop the buyers from scoring great units in Huntington Beach. Meanwhile, Darrell tries to get Brandon in shape, an injury forces Ivy to change up his game, and Jarrod and Brandi score a unit that leads to a wild ride. Then, in the night's second episode, "The Return of the Mogul's Return!," Dave just won't stay away despite his fight with Laura, and he ends up hacking the competition at an auction in Montclair. Meanwhie, Ivy rakes in the dollar bills, Darrell keeps things old school, and Brandi worries Jarrod's hangover will get in the way of buying. Then at 9:30pm, "Young Gun, Old Tricks," an auction in Santa Ana has the buyers hoping for a high-class score among high-end vaults.
