Plot Synopsis

In this series of specials, Robin Meade travels around America to meet current and former U.S. military personnel, revealing their courage, struggles, and triumphs. On Veterans Day 2013 (November 11) at 7pm ET/PT, HLN aired a 30-minute special about dogs being placed with men and women who have returned from combat. Robin traveled to a group's facility in Palm Valley, FL, where they adopt dogs from shelters and rescue organizations and specially train them to help veterans with PTSD. Then, she learns from veterans how these canines have helped their lives. Immediately following the world premiere of "K9s for Warriors," HLN aired an encore presentation of "Soldiers' Songs," a half-hour special that aired earlier in the year, documenting how service members use music as a way to heal.
