Plot Synopsis

STORMING NORMANDY is a two-part documentary that uses archival footage to chronicle the events leading up to and during the Allied invasion of France is launched on June 6, 1944. In the first installment, "Preparing for War," President Franklin D. Roosevelt works closely with Prime Minister Winston Churchill in the summer of 1941 and preparations are made for the invasion. Then, in the finale, "Launching the Assault," combat camera footage documents the invasion of northern France on June 6, 1944, as the Allies begin their assault on Nazi-occupied Western Europe. AHC: American Heroes Channel premiered STORMING NORMANDY on Memorial Day 2015 (Monday, May 25) from 8-10pm ET/PT, showing both parts back to back.
