Plot Synopsis

Focusing on TV's greatest hits and most iconic shows, THE STORY BEHIND reveals stories straight from the set with exclusive on-camera interviews with all the insider players -- from cast members and crew to producers and television executives. Each one-hour episode features a different series, including current fan-favorites on broadcast and cable television, as well as classic shows that have endured the test of time. After TVGN aired a pair of specials in November 2013 -- ER (Nov 13) and FRIENDS (Nov 20) -- THE STORY BEHIND returned for its official series premiere on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT, the same day the former TVGN relaunched as Pop. The series opener featured EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, with subsequent episodes focused on HOME IMPROVEMENT; FULL HOUSE; BEVERLY HILLS, 90210; WILL & GRACE and more.

On Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 8:30pm ET/PT, Pop aired the Season 1 finale of THE STORY BEHIND, as the cable network telecast an encore presentation of the program featuring ER, which previously aired as a special before THE STORY BEHIND was picked up as a series.
