Plot Synopsis

STRANGE INHERITANCE is a half-hour reality series that follows host Jamie Colby as she explores real-life stories of unconventional inheritances. From multi-million dollar treasures to truly bizarre collections and one-of-a- kind artifacts, this series tells the stories of how families decide what to do with their newly acquired possessions -- from a family trying to keep a 900-acre bug museum in business to the discovery of a rare 1913 Liberty Head nickel. Season 2 of STRANGE INHERITANCE premiered on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 9-11pm ET/6-8pm PT, as Fox Business debuted four new episodes. This season, hosted again by Jamie Colby, features another 26 episodes -- ranging from Winston Churchill's teeth to George Washington's lost wallet -- and aired back-to-back on Mondays in the 9pm ET hour in the weeks after the Season 2 opener.

STRANGE INHERITANCE returned for its third season on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 10pm ET/PT on Fox Business Network, with back-to-back new episodes. From valuable puppets that sing opera to the original rules of basketball written on two sheets of paper that launched the game when it was played in peach baskets, Jamie Colby embarks on a new journey to find undiscovered treasures, taking viewers through 37 U.S. cities and across the Atlantic Ocean into the United Kingdom. In the season opener (10pm), "Lincoln Rail Splitter," Keith Carter and Andrea Solis inherited an old log-splitting mallet -- emblazoned with the initials A.L., possibly for Abraham Lincoln -- when their father died in 2015. It is currently on loan to the Lincoln artifacts exhibit of the Indiana State Museum, but they have contacted an auction company about selling it. The premiere episode also features a cameo from Vice President-elect Mike Pence. Then, in the night's second new episode (10:30pm), "Fantasy Feud," when Conan the Barbarian illustrator Frank Frazetta was stricken with a series of strokes, tensions heightened among his two sons and two daughters over the hundred-plus paintings, and the rights to reproduce and license his work.
