Plot Synopsis

Founded by Drew Baldwin and Joshua Cohen, the STREAMY AWARDS honor the best in online video and the creators behind it. The annual event brings together the biggest names in YouTube and online video for a night of celebration, discovery, and recognition. The first four events exclusively streamed online, until 2015 when the STREAMY AWARDS were broadcast live on VH1 with an online simulcast.

Hosted by Grace Helbig and Tyler Oakley, the 2015 STREAMY AWARDS were broadcast live from the Hollywood Palladium by VH1 on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 10pm ET (live)/PT (tape), featuring performances by Future, A Great Big World ft. Futuristic, OMI, Sir Mix-A-Lot and Hailee Steinfeld. Scheduled presenters were: Paula Abdul, Mel B., Phil DeFranco, Ricky Dillon, GloZell Green, Kat Graham, Hannah Hart, Mamrie Hart, Shay Mitchell, Harley Morenstein, Ingrid Nilsen, Pauley Perrette, Jillian Rose Reed, Smosh, NeNe Leakes, Ciara, Natasha Bedingfield, Frankie Grande, Jenna Marbles, Miss America 2016 and James Van Der Beek. Ten awards were presented live but all winners were recognized, including those announced three days earlier by Chelsea Briggs and GloZell Green on Monday, September 14 at YouTube Space LA in Playa Vista, CA. The following awards were presented live (listed in alphabetical order, not order of presentation): Beauty; Comedy; Entertainer of the Year; First Person; Kids and Family; Lifestyle; Original Song; Pranks; Show of the Year; and Viner. Fans were able to vote online for their favorite entertainer and show, starting September 3 until moments before the winners were revealed live on stage.
