Plot Synopsis

Based on Greg Rucka and Matthew Southworth's graphic novels of the same name, STUMPTOWN is a one-hour drama series that follows Dex Parios -- a strong, assertive and sharp-witted army veteran with a complicated love life, gambling debt and a brother to take care of in Portland, Oregon. With only herself to rely on, she solves other people's messes with a blind eye toward her own. Her military intelligence skills make her a great PI, but her unapologetic style puts her in the firing line of hardcore criminals and not quite in alliance with the police. On Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 10pm ET/PT, ABC debuted "Reality Checks Don't Bounce," the winter premiere of STUMPTOWN. Dex is hired by a famous TV judge to help find his prodigal brother but soon finds that she is not the only one looking for him. Elsewhere, after a carjacking under his watch, Hoffman enlists Grey's help in tracking down the carjackers. Back at home, Dex isn't prepared for Ansel's unexpected news.
ABC premiered the season finale of STUMPTOWN on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 10pm ET/PT. In the season ender, "All Hands on Dex," to get justice, Dex takes matters into her own hands after finding herself at the forefront of a murder investigation where she's the prime suspect. Meanwhile, Hoffman struggles to remain impartial in the investigation and could lose everything if he continues to help Dex. Elsewhere, Grey attempts to work on his budding relationship with his estranged father while a familiar face from the past makes a surprise visit. Guest stars: Steven Williams as Lionel Hoffman, Matt Craven as Michael McConnell, Fiona Rene as Detective Kara Lee and Chris Grace as Denny.
